Simon is a 30yr old professional drummer and drum tutor based in Newbury.

Starting the drums in 2003, he continued his passion into secondary school, GCSE and A-level, where he passed his Grade 8 drum exam with a Distinction in 2011. After college, Simon studied at the Academy of Contemporary Music, graduating in 2015 with a 2:1 BMus(Hons) Degree in Professional Music Performance.

​

After graduating, Simon started working as a session musician in 2016, mainly playing at weddings and similar functions for bands all over the country. He began teaching in 2017, working for Rocksteady Music School, Hogan Music and The Rock Project alongside his band commitments. After starting his private tuition business in 2020, he continued to expand his teaching, and joined St Gabriels school (Newbury) in 2021 as their peri drum teacher.

Simons work as a professional drummer has also expanded rapidly over the last few years. In 2023 he performed internationally in Europe & the Middle East, toured Germany with two originals artists and played a run of UK theatre shows with the All or Nothing Experience.

 

In the first half of 2024, Simon has already performed at 2 residencies in the french alps and is now the main drummer for the 'All or Nothing' touring theatre show.  He also performed internationally with The Guns N Roses Experience, and UK shows with Maroon Five, Stereophonics and Celine Dion tribute shows, plus a multitude of function work including UK & overseas weddings, emo brunches, corporates and festivals.
