FAQ'S

Who can learn to play the Drums?

Simon is extremely happy teaching all ages and abilities, though the recommended minimum age is 6yrs old. Lesson content can be planned accordingly depending on age, ability and learning styles. For more information around the benefits of drumming, check out Simon's blog page.

What type of drum kit should we purchase?

Simon is always happy to discuss the benefits of both electronic and acoustic drum kits, as well as advising on reliable brands for both. He has an excellent knowledge on both types of kit and can confidently recommend different models for both types, whether your budget is big or small.

How far do you travel for lessons?

Most lessons take place in Newbury and Thatcham, though Simon occasionally teaches further afield if his teaching schedule allows. Lessons outside Newbury and Thatcham are subject to a small petrol fee. For more info, please see Simon's tuition guidelines and terms.

What equipment can you provide?

For £5 per lesson, Simon can provide an equipment bundle, which includes a Yamaha DTX-432K electric drum kit, a JBL music speaker, drumsticks, stool, music stand and all wires/cables. All he will need is access to 2 plug sockets, and enough space to set up the equipment.
